CATALYST; CONNECTOR; CHAMPION.
Entering its 99th year of business leadership in Culver City, the Chamber of Commerce is still the main voice of business in the community. Since its inception on August 27, 1921, the Chamber has stood for the prosperity of business and continues to focus on the concerns of the business community and how to best respond to its needs. From advocacy and support to networking, marketing and resources, the Chamber works to meet its 3 “C” mission – CATALYST; CONNECTOR; CHAMPION.
The Chamber is a CATALYST for business growth and expansion. No other organization does as much for the business climate in Culver City and strives to ensure both growth opportunities and to foster retention efforts. From monthly networking events allowing members to make key connections that often lead to business growth, to the timely Issues & Eggs Breakfast and HR Forums tackling a myriad of topics that may keep business owners up at night, the Chamber continually proves it is in the business of helping businesses thrive.
The Chamber is a CONNECTOR of people, ideas and resources. It maintains an astute ability to align stakeholders in Culver City, as well as resources, tried and true concepts, and out-of-the-box ideas. This is a major reason the Chamber remains a growing and relevant entity in Culver City and has been able to remain a factor for nearly 10 decades. From their marquee events like the Mayor’s Luncheon, CulverExpo and Women in Business Leadership Awards; to their emerging workshops and seminars including Chamber University; the Chamber continues to turn the dial forward on real-time connection – a connection that has benefited the Culver City community for decades.
The Chamber is a CHAMPION of a strong Culver City. Besides their tireless work advocating for business vitality they also spearhead many of the business community’s give-back initiatives. From charitable donations and scholarships to serving in the community, the membership and Chamber have always done their parts to work closely with the School District and multiple non-profit entities. This ensures we are all creating an environment that is thriving and sustainable.
It’s the visionary oversight of the Chamber Board of Directors that guides the work of the Chamber staff and volunteers. This group of business professionals may have varying levels of connection to the city, but they and the entire Chamber team share this commitment to growing Culver City’s vibrant business community and ensuring economic vitality for years to come.
