Welcome From The Chamber Of Commerce
On behalf of your local Chamber of Commerce, it is with great excitement that I present to you the 2021 Chamber Community Guide! Our community is one that is vibrant, growing, and committed to delivering the services and goods to meet the needs of our entire population here in Bulverde Spring Branch. Hopefully, you will find this Chamber Community Guide helpful to you and your family as you navigate the year ahead.
My wife and I personally moved to Bulverde Spring Branch in 2005. Through our research, we knew this area would afford us the opportunity for a Hill Country lifestyle, schools that would ensure a quality education for our children, and a hospitable and friendly community that would embrace those moving into the area. During the past 16 years, Bulverde Spring Branch has never failed to deliver, and we are proud to call this community our home. Realizing that Comal County has been one of the fastest growing counties in America for many, consecutive years and personally seeing the growth of our community, I hope all who live here feel the same way.
Due to this fast pace of growth, it has been imperative that the Bulverde Spring Branch Chamber of Commerce continually evolve to best support the businesses and people of this community. Through our Chamber President Rhonda Zunker’s leadership and the effective work of the Chamber staff, including Christen Patterson, Sylvia Beatty, and Paula Stakes, I believe our Chamber of Commerce has done so and that will continue as we move forward.
Now, let me recognize the challenges of 2020. COVID-19 has impacted our community in a variety of ways. Those affected have been in our thoughts and on our minds throughout the year. We are hopeful for a 2021 that looks much different. In the interim, the Bulverde Spring Branch Chamber of Commerce has pivoted to best support local businesses enduring these challenges. The Chamber has offered awareness around state and local restrictions and mandates; has worked virtually to offer networking and business development opportunities; and has even assisted in providing sanitizing items to local businesses so that they can operate in 2020. The Chamber will continue to deliver value moving into 2021 regardless of challenges that might arise.
In closing, as residents and businesses of Bulverde Spring Branch, and even for those who are just visitors to the area, let’s all look for how we can make a positive impact in this community in 2021 and beyond. May we all strive to cultivate a vibrant and hospitable community, support our local businesses, and thrive as we enjoy our Hill Country way of life!

Welcome from the Mayor of Bulverde
The beauty and charm of the Texas Hill Country cannot be disputed. As stewards determined to protect our community from unchecked growth and development, the City of Bulverde has proactively implemented well-thought-out plans and standards to preserve what we enjoy today for generations to come.
In fact, Bulverde was recognized as a Certified Scenic City award recipient in 2017. The honor is given to only 13 Texas cities that make a commitment to exceptional scenic guidelines for public roadways and spaces. We’re proud to say our high-quality infrastructure standards for landscaping, tree planting and sign regulation earned us the award.
Some would think that “raising the bar” would be met with some opposition. It turns out that quality attracts quality though, and this path to excellence leads to sustainability, which is good for both families and businesses. As a result, our future shines brighter every day.
It is an honor to be part of this guide, which showcases our responsible business community. Enjoy!

HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY SPRING BRANCH!
It has been five years since we voted to incorporate our community. Spring Branch was first settled in 1852 by hard working German families. Many of those families still call Spring Branch home 168 years later. Preserving our community, respecting our heritage, and controlling our destiny guided our decision to incorporate, and continues today. As a Type C Municipality, we have a very lean organization consisting of a Mayor, two Commissioners and a part time City Clerk. Commissioners Brad Hockman and David Dobbins and I are elected to two year terms. Our responsibility is to represent our residents and property owners and to make decisions in the best interest of our Community. City Clerk Katherine Wells supports the City’s administrative duties and financial requirements. Learn more about our City Staff and community by visiting www.cityofspringbranch.org.
We have watched our area grow dramatically throughout the years, and without a doubt, we will see more growth at a faster pace. With guidance from our residents and business owners, our City Commission will do its best to ensure that Spring Branch continues to be a place we are all proud to call home.
