The Laguna Niguel Chamber of Commerce:
Connecting business with the community through advocacy, networking and education
If you are one of those who feel like the Laguna Niguel Chamber of Commerce has been around as long as the City itself, you are partially correct.
Laguna Niguel just celebrated its 31st year, a proud three decades marked by sun-kissed progress, safe neighborhoods, a glowing quality of life and a business-friendly environment. And seven years before the City’s incorporation, the burgeoning local business community — led by luminaries like Betty Pequet, Rick Van Alstine and David Russell Ohrn and others — formed a business affinity organization that is still thriving and providing vital business guidance 38 years later.
Since 1982, the Laguna Niguel Chamber of Commerce has been at the forefront of representing a vibrantly growing business community. As the City formed and has grown, so has the Chamber, making it one of the most effective business organizations in south Orange County.
Most of us have heard about Chambers of Commerce. But what is a Chamber, really?
Is it a group of business owners and employees who get together sharing leads and ideas?
Is it some civic-minded volunteers who strive to make the lives of others better?
Is it a source for education on business practices and regulations?
Is it an organization that advocates with the elected officials who make the rules & laws?
And is it a fun group who like to connect and have a few laughs together?
A Chamber of Commerce should be all of those things. And in Laguna Niguel, we are proud of our well-earned reputation as an effective and innovative organization that works hard every day to meet the needs of our member companies and the entire thriving business community.
We are also proud of the volunteerism of the entire community of Laguna Niguel – and in particular, the body of work and literally thousands of hours of volunteerism donated by Chamber members each year. An example was the City’s 30th Anniversary Community Carnival, where more than 50 Chamber members donated in excess of 270 volunteer hours at the Chamber’s popular Beer & Wine Garden alone.
Every day at the Chamber is a little different. We like it that way. And the things that make your Chamber most effective are the same things that benefit our member businesses by giving them that edge over their competition. Through member education, creative shared marketing methods, advocacy, innovative events and vital proactive interaction, we make a difference.
The Laguna Niguel Chamber is a non-profit 501(c)6 organization that represents the local business community and provides valuable benefits and services to its membership by:
Creating a stronger local economy
Promoting the business community
Providing proactive networking opportunities
Representing the interest of all businesses with city, regional, state & federal government
The Chamber’s VISION STATEMENT says it all:
The Laguna Niguel Chamber of Commerce strives to be the premier business advocacy association, connecting its members to local government, the business community and its residents.
The Mission of the Laguna Niguel Chamber of Commerce is to stimulate and support a strong relationship with the business community, local government, civic leaders, and the community through the development of tools and programs.
So why should you consider
joining a Chamber of Commerce?
Most business owners have demanding schedules. So why should they try to cram time into their already hectic schedules to join and actively participate in their local Chamber of Commerce?
Think of this: membership in the Laguna Niguel Chamber offers numerous benefits and keeps business owners on top of the important, ever-changing issues and trends within their community, business and regulatory environments and the local marketplace.
Research points out that consumers are more likely to do business with a company if it’s a member of their local chamber of commerce. Consumers are 63 percent more likely to purchase goods or services from that company in the future. Pretty convincing, don’t you think?
Laguna Niguel is a vibrant community with a proud history and plans for a strong future. The Chamber reflects this community. Our community is an ideal place for the more personal professional, consumer and retail services that are vital to its affluent and well-educated residents.
What makes the Laguna Niguel Chamber so effective?

“Dancing With The (Laguna Niguel) Stars” will be a fun-filled and entertaining evening, featuring dancers from six local charitable organizations in October.

Marketing: The Chamber actively and effectively helps members to market themselves to other members through a monthly printed newsletter that is mailed to the full membership and weekly email blasts to over a thousand individuals and businesses.
Ongoing energetic marketing is expertly exercised through regular postings on digital sources like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. The Chamber publishes the annual City Directory and a full roster of members and services can be easily accessed on the Chamber’s web site, www.LNChamber.com
