Monte De Oro Winery

In 2020 Monte De Oro Winery celebrates its 10 year Anniversary and over the last decade Monte De Oro has become one of Temecula Valley’s premier wineries.

A dream of 65 original family owners, Monte De Oro’s passion has been for growing quality grapes, handcrafting premium wines, and providing “the ultimate” wine experience for its guests. 

Since 2010, we have earned over 215 Platinum, Double Gold, Gold, “Best of Class”, and 90 Point rated wine awards on a collection of over 20 wines.  We have had two Best of California Wines – our recent 2015 Petite Sirah and historic 2007 Cabernet Franc –two Best Red Wines of Southern California Wine Region (2019 and 2018) and seven Best Varietals of Southern California Wine Region  (2016 to 2019).  

As for a terrific winery experience (Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor.com), Monte De Oro itself spans 21,000 square feet and features an 11.500 square foot Barrel Cellar holding up to 1,000 barrels.   The pride of the Winery is its stunning Main Tasting Room:  a 2,500 square foot space with cathedral ceilings, two tasting bars, six alabaster chandeliers and a glass floor looking down on the only underground Barrel Cellar in Temecula Valley.

Our 10,500 square foot outdoor patio provides breathtaking panoramic views of Temecula Valley, ensuring the perfect gathering spot to enjoy lunch from our award-winning Bistro (5 stars from Trip.com), a sunset live concert or an unforgettable Tuscany-inspired wedding.  

Wine Tasting is provided daily:  Monday through Thursday 11:00 to 5:00 and Friday through Sunday 10:00 to 5:00.  Our Bistro is open Thursday through Sundays from 11:00 to 4:30.   Tours of our Barrel Cellar and Vineyards are available as well.
