Welcome From The Chamber Of Commerce
Whether you are new to the area or have been here for many years, we hope you will find this guide helpful in learning about the community of Bulverde-Spring Branch. I have lived here for 18 years and continue to get excited about all that is happening here. The fact this area has two names says a lot — Bulverde and Spring Branch. The area is rich with tradition and in identity. As we grow, we remember our heritage and its importance to us, and direct growth to maintain our beautiful hill country identity. These are truly exciting times for this community and your Chamber.
I am so proud to be a part of this chamber as we move into an exhilarating new era of growth for the area. With growth comes change and your Chamber is the place to keep abreast of all that is happening in the community. Whether that growth is in the downtown Bulverde area, the Faithville Park area, the Singing Hills area, elsewhere along the Highway 281 or 46 corridors, or in a multitude of other growing areas, we can help you get connected.
The value of your participation in the Chamber resonates everywhere. I urge you to take advantage of all the many events that are available to you — from the Golf tournament, Holiday Tour of Homes or the Annual Awards Banquet, to the Leadership Class and Leadercast provided by the BSB Chamber Foundation. One of the first things I did as a new chamber member several years ago was to take advantage of the Leadership Class. I was awakened to a new passion for the community through visits to the city, county, and even state offices that support our neighborhoods. I found the Leadership Class to be the best way to learn about the area and how all the community partners contribute to bettering the resources that are needed for managed development and growth. Having lived in the beautiful hill country for over 10 years at the time, I thought I knew all there was to know about the area — but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Through the Leadership Class I established connections to many resources new to me in the area and formed close friendships that have blossomed through several years now.
I hope you will join me in championing the Chamber to newcomers and locals alike. Bulverde and Spring Branch are like no other. Our uniqueness draws people to this area. Help us keep the uniqueness that makes this area so special and beautiful.

Welcome from the Mayor of Bulverde
The beauty and charm of the Texas Hill Country cannot be disputed. As stewards determined to protect our community from unchecked growth and development, the City of Bulverde has proactively implemented well-thought-out plans and standards to preserve what we enjoy today for generations to come.
In fact, Bulverde was recognized as a Certified Scenic City award recipient in 2017. The honor is given to only 13 Texas cities that make a commitment to exceptional scenic guidelines for public roadways and spaces. We’re proud to say our high-quality infrastructure standards for landscaping, tree planting and sign regulation earned us the award.
Some would think that “raising the bar” would be met with some opposition. It turns out that quality attracts quality though, and this path to excellence leads to sustainability, which is good for both families and businesses. As a result, our future shines brighter every day.
It is an honor to be part of this guide, which showcases our responsible business community. Enjoy!
Welcome From The Mayor of Spring Branch
Spring Branch was first settled in 1852 by hard working German families. Many of those same families still call Spring Branch home 167 years later. Preserving our community, respecting our heritage and controlling our destiny guided our decision to incorporate nearly four years ago, and continues to guide our actions as we move forward. As a Type C Municipality, we have a very lean organization consisting of a Mayor, two Commissioners and a part time City Clerk. Commissioners Brad Hockman and David Dobbins and I are elected to two year terms. Our responsibility is to represent our residents and property owners and to make decisions in the best interest of our Community. City Clerk Katherine Wells supports the City’s administrative duties and financial requirements. I invite you to read more about our City Staff and our History by visiting our new website; www.cityofspringbranch.org
We have watched our area grow dramatically over the years, and without a doubt, we will see more growth at a faster pace. With guidance from our residents and business owners, our City Commission will do its best to ensure that Spring Branch continues to be a place we are all proud to call home.
